Place des Vosges

you just need to cross the boulevard Richard Lenoir (street market on thursdays and sundays) and the boulevard Beaumarchais, within 5 minutes by foot, before you reach the little street , la rue du Pas de la mule which leads to the magnificent Place des Vosges,  the oldest monumental square of Paris built between 1605 and 1612 and and its Square Louis XIII.

On sundays, you will probably meet the street musicians playing jazz, gipsy or even classical music under the arcades surroundind the square.

If you decide to shop around, you might then be tempted by to pursue in the rue des Francs-Bourgeois which will lead you right up to the Hôtel Carnavalet, 23-29, rue de Sévigné, 4th arrondissement offering a large collection of paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints and decorative arts on the history of Paris since its origins,

From La Place des Vosges, you might as well decide to walk to the Picasso Museum, 5 rue Thorigny, 3rd arrondissement.
